WordArchitext was created primarily with the busy student in mind - from high schooler all the way to doctoral candidate. I have over 15 years of writing and editing experience across a spectrum of writing styles - from academic journals to popular magazines to web pages (see left). This experience includes my position as copy editor for an academic journal and previous chief editing responsibilities for three books, nearly a dozen doctoral dissertations and master theses, and untold numbers of professional and student essays and papers.

In addition, I also do translations from Korean or French into English.

Rates and Turnaround Time

Rates

Editing Rates*:

• $5-$10/page (12 point font, double-spaced, single-side): Basic editing for spelling/grammar/style
• $8-$15/page  (12 point font, double-spaced, single-side): Editing for spelling/grammar/style as well as critical review of content

* Prices here are given by range of possible price. For example, for basic editing a "normal" paper will be charged at the rate of $5 a page, whereas a paper written by a non-native speaker in which every sentence requires revision will likely be charged $10/page. A preliminary quote will be given and a contract agreed upon before any editing begins.

Translation Rates:

• $45/page French-English
• $55/page Korean-English

All prices include 2 complimentary revisions (in other words, after I return your paper and you then make minor revisions, I will reedit twice).

Turnaround Time

General turnaround time for editing is 1 page/1 day. Thus, a 10-page paper  will be returned within 10 days.


General turnaround time for translations is 1 page/3 days for French, and 1 page/4 days for Korean. 


However, these are general estimates. An exact quote and time estimate will be provided before work is contracted.
